Karen Forman specializes in psychotherapy for women who are experiencing depression, anxiety, marital and relationship conflicts, change-of-life challenges, and separation/divorce issues. Karen uses an eclectic approach in helping clients overcome obstacles to empowerment and self-leadership. She encourages her clients to adapt healthier thought patterns and develop greater awareness of how the body holds feelings. Karen also works with couples to help them recognize and become free of long-standing destructive cycles. Karen has been trained in mindfulness-based stress reduction and emotionally-focused therapy. She has coordinated and taught court-mandated communication classes for high-conflict parents who are separating or divorcing.
Karen received a Masters in Social Work and a Certification in Marriage and Family Therapy from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She also holds a Masters in Business Administration from Emory University
